Responsibilities
- Build and maintain backend services, APIs, and data-processing components.
- Contribute to forecasting, scoring, and data-processing services with attention to performance, reliability, and code quality.
- Write clean, tested, and maintainable Python code.
- Integrate ML models into production services and support related data pipelines with data scientists and ML engineers.
- Participate in code reviews and design discussions.
- Participate in on-call rotations and help monitor, diagnose, and resolve issues across services and pipelines.
- Collaborate on well-scoped features from end to end.
Requirements
- Professional software engineering experience building backend services.
- Solid Python proficiency and experience writing structured, tested production code.
- Experience with relational databases and SQL, such as Postgres.
- Exposure to containerized services and at least one major cloud provider: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Basic understanding of production ML and AI systems and their supporting data pipelines.
- Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices.
- Ability to own well-scoped systems and deliver against requirements with some ambiguity.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Preferred: experience with Prefect, Airflow, dbt, MLflow, Kubernetes, LLM or agentic application patterns, AI service integration, forecasting, demand planning, or retail/supply-chain domains.
