Responsibilities
- Design, build, and operate advanced optimization applications in production at scale.
- Develop APIs, data ingestion, multiprocessing, observability, algorithms, performance benchmarks, and automated tests.
- Design and operate automated evaluation systems for model behavior and feature delivery.
- Specify tasks for AI coding agents, review their output, and verify correctness and maintainability.
- Own production quality, safety, reliability, deployments, monitoring, alerting, and customer issue response.
- Work directly with customers to understand requirements, accelerate adoption, and inform the product roadmap.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, conversation designers, and engineers on success criteria, tradeoffs, capabilities, and risks.
Requirements
- 5+ years of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
- Strong command of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, system design, concurrency, parallelism, APIs, data modeling, and testing.
- Python experience is strongly preferred; Java, JavaScript, Kubernetes, or GraphQL experience is a bonus.
- Experience communicating with customers and non-engineers under incomplete information and fixed timelines.
- Demonstrated experience developing reliable and resilient mission-critical systems.
- Critical thinking and a track record of integrating AI into engineering processes, workflows, software development life cycles, or decision-making.
- Familiarity with Operations Research, Vehicle Routing Problems, Mathematical Optimization, or Field Service Management is a plus.
- Advanced degrees or certifications, especially in Operations Research, are a bonus.
