Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions.
- Build and maintain APIs, services, tools, and platform components for front-office quantitative workflows.
- Interface with platform users to understand use cases and support effective use of tools and services.
- Collaborate with researchers and technology teams to translate business and research requirements into engineering solutions.
- Develop scalable workflow tooling, metadata management, distributed storage, and integration capabilities.
- Research best practices and propose platform feature specifications and enhancements.
- Create tools that improve platform usability, adoption, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure solutions are reliable, secure, scalable, and aligned with engineering standards.
- Produce documentation, user guides, and technical materials.
- Collaborate with global teams across research, technology, and platform functions.
Requirements
- University degree, preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong English communication skills and experience working in a global environment.
- Expertise with software lifecycle management tools and methodologies, including Git and JIRA.
- Strong programming expertise in at least one of Python, Go, C, or C++.
- Strong working knowledge of UNIX/Linux.
- Experience designing, developing, testing, and supporting production-quality software systems.
- Ability to work directly with technical and non-technical users to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Knowledge of large-scale distributed systems, distributed storage platforms, workflow platforms, or data-intensive systems.
- Experience building APIs, backend services, platform tooling, or developer enablement solutions.
- Familiarity with quant research workflows, investment technology platforms, data pipelines, or front-office systems.
- Exposure to CI/CD, observability, containerization, orchestration, or cloud-native development practices.
- Interest in open architecture, graph-based frameworks, metadata-driven systems, and extensible platform design.
