Responsibilities

Design, implement, and operate secure, scalable, highly available cloud and hybrid-infrastructure solutions.
Engineer multi-account AWS security boundaries using AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies, and IAM permission boundaries.
Architect hybrid AWS networking with Direct Connect, Site-to-Site VPNs, Transit Gateway, and VPC traffic engineering.
Develop reusable, versioned Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules and manage complex state files.
Operate production Amazon EKS environments, including worker nodes, control plane upgrades, and VPC networking integration.
Develop operational runbooks, monitoring frameworks, SLOs, and SLAs to support reliable handovers.
Identify and document technical risks and debt, and ensure ownership transfer to operations teams.
Collaborate with product, platform, security, and operations teams to support DevOps and SRE models.
Develop infrastructure automation and glue code using Python or Bash.
Maintain hybrid environments involving VMware vSphere and Red Hat OpenShift on bare metal.

Recent hands-on experience with public cloud platforms, primarily Amazon Web Services.
Strong experience with Kubernetes platforms including Amazon EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine, Tanzu Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
Proficiency with Terraform, Jenkins CI, Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, and Git.
Experience with monitoring solutions such as Prometheus and database platforms including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cassandra.
Production experience managing Amazon EKS, including worker node configuration, control plane upgrades, and VPC networking.
Operational experience with Google Cloud Platform for multi-cloud redundancy, networking, and workload migrations.
Experience with Python or Bash for infrastructure automation and glue code.
Knowledge of VMware vSphere and Red Hat OpenShift on bare metal is advantageous.
Experience with Helm for Kubernetes deployments is a plus.
Strong security and compliance mindset, communication and documentation skills, accountability, collaboration, and independent research ability.
Exposure to private cloud, on-premises infrastructure, Linux virtual servers, VMware ESXi, disaster recovery infrastructure as code, and DataStax Cassandra migration is advantageous.
