Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, optimization, and delivery of Java enterprise applications, APIs, and microservices.
- Guide and mentor development team members on coding standards, technical challenges, quality, and best practices.
- Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions and shape application architecture.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data access layers.
- Conduct code reviews, unit testing, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and resilience improvements.
- Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, QA, operations, and other cross-functional stakeholders.
- Support deployment activities and automate release processes using CI/CD pipelines.
- Facilitate Agile planning, sprint ceremonies, backlog grooming, retrospectives, and milestone delivery.
- Maintain system design, API, and deployment documentation and evaluate emerging Java tools and frameworks.
Requirements
- 6–9 years of proven Java development experience in enterprise settings.
- Proficiency with Java version 8 or higher, React, Spring Boot, Hibernate, REST API development, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with SQL, relational databases including MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server, query optimization, and data management.
- Hands-on experience with Maven or Gradle, Git, API security and versioning, and enterprise application integration.
- Proven success leading development teams, mentoring developers, managing complex deliverables, and translating business requirements into scalable solutions.
- Experience working in Agile teams with continuous integration and delivery practices.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Preferred qualifications include MicroProfile, JPA, MongoDB, Cassandra, AWS, Azure, GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, monitoring tools, DevSecOps, cloud integration, message brokers, and Oracle or Java SE certifications.
- Finance, banking, or large-scale enterprise systems experience is preferred, though equivalent experience in other domains is acceptable.
