Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
- Build and enhance cloud-native serverless applications using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and AWS CDK.
- Develop modern React user interfaces using established frontend patterns and component libraries.
- Design DynamoDB data models using Single-Table Design and optimized access patterns.
- Develop secure RESTful APIs following OpenAPI specifications and implement schema validation with Zod.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code while creating comprehensive unit tests and supporting API and end-to-end testing.
- Participate in code reviews and uphold standards for quality, performance, maintainability, and security.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and improve application reliability.
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement.
- Own solutions from implementation through deployment and production support.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience as a Full Stack Software Developer or Software Engineer.
- Strong production experience with TypeScript across frontend and backend development.
- Strong experience building modern web applications with React and backend services with Node.js.
- Experience designing RESTful APIs using OpenAPI and implementing schema validation with Zod or similar libraries.
- Experience building serverless applications with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
- Strong understanding of DynamoDB Single-Table Design and access-pattern modeling.
- Experience provisioning infrastructure with AWS CDK or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Experience with automated unit testing using Vitest or similar frameworks, plus familiarity with Playwright, Postman, or similar testing tools.
- Experience with modern React technologies such as TanStack Router/Query, Mantine UI, and Zustand.
- Understanding of secure coding practices involving sensitive customer information, including PII and PCI data.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, and independent-working skills.
- Advanced written and spoken English communication skills.
- Preferred experience with SQL Server, Amazon EventBridge, OpenSearch Serverless, Playwright, AWS Associate Certification or higher, and Specification-Driven Development practices.
