$98k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and execute test campaigns for autonomous vehicle perception, planning, and control features across virtual and on-vehicle environments.
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and measurable validation outcomes using Python and Bash/Shell.
- Use Software-in-the-Loop, Hardware-in-the-Loop, and scenario-based simulation for feature validation and regression testing.
- Create synthetic and resimulation scenarios for iterative development, root-cause analysis, and large-scale release validation.
- Analyze logs and data, troubleshoot system behavior, and conduct root-cause investigations with perception, planning, hardware, and safety teams.
- Support QA, release activities, system integration, simulation-based validation, and track-based testing throughout the AV software development lifecycle.
- Document test procedures, results, and technical findings using Confluence, Jira, and GitLab.
- Ensure testing practices align with ISO26262, ISO21448 (SOTIF), and ISO9001 standards.
- Improve integrated testing tools, workflows, and processes and contribute to new solutions for autonomous mobility.
- Travel domestically as needed and support flexible schedules, including late meetings when required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Robotics, ECE, Computer Science, or a relevant technical field.
- At least 2 years of experience in software QA, systems testing, or mechatronic system validation.
- Proficiency with Linux and programming or scripting languages such as Python, C++, or Bash/Shell.
- Experience writing and developing comprehensive test cases and test plans.
- Experience with one or more of AV simulation platforms such as Applied Intuition, IPG CarMaker, or NVIDIA DRIVE Sim; HIL environments and CAN, LIN, or Ethernet protocols; or track-based testing and mechatronic system integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot, debug, think logically, and remove bias from problem evaluation.
- Ability to work effectively amid ambiguity and interpret evolving system requirements in a fast-paced environment.
- Understanding of ISO26262, ISO21448, and ISO9001 is preferred.
- Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds and work around road conditions, mechanical and computer parts, fumes, and airborne particles.
- Willingness to travel domestically as needed.
