Base Salary
$150k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Support the development of an on-vehicle UDS diagnostic stack on an embedded ARM platform.
- Develop and maintain embedded C++ software in a Linux userspace environment.
- Drive a test-first mindset by designing and implementing various tests.
- Own specific software modules, ensuring clean and maintainable code.
- Debug complex system-level issues involving IPC frameworks and hardware peripherals.
- Perform code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with other engineering teams to incorporate system requirements.
- Manage competing priorities and communicate blockers to senior staff.
- Produce clear documentation for workflows and test procedures.
- Begin mentoring junior team members in the diagnostic domain.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 2+ years of experience, or a Master's/PhD.
- Demonstrated ability to write maintainable software with a strong grasp of design principles.
- Proficiency in modern C++ (14+) and familiarity with MISRA-C++ standards.
- Experience with Linux userspace application development on ARM platforms.
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests and Python scripting skills.
- Ability to independently debug system-level issues and escalate when necessary.
- Strong awareness of technical debt and maintainability in code.
