Responsibilities
- Build, deliver, and maintain reliable, scalable, secure infrastructure platforms and OSS toolchains across cloud and on-premises environments.
- Develop infrastructure automation, software scripts, and automated processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Design and operate highly available, secure, low-latency, and high-throughput networks and hybrid-cloud connectivity.
- Monitor infrastructure and system performance, respond to incidents, resolve outages and vulnerabilities, and improve mean time to resolution.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, engineers, stakeholders, and leadership to define requirements and guide technical direction.
- Contribute to strategy, risk management, governance, continuous improvement, and the technical development of less experienced specialists.
Requirements
- Hands-on expertise with infrastructure as code, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, and SRE principles.
- Strong networking experience covering routing and switching, network security, data-center technologies, BGP, VXLAN/EVPN, spine-leaf architecture, NGFW, IDS/IPS, NAC, and network segmentation.
- Expertise building highly available and secure networks for low-latency and high-throughput applications.
- Expertise with AWS, Azure, or GCP networking and resilient hybrid-cloud connectivity across geographic locations and availability zones.
- Knowledge of network element management, control, data, and fast-switching planes, as well as TCP/IP, UDP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, DHCP, OSPF, VXLAN, and IPSec.
- Experience with zero trust, TLS/SSL, VPNs, gNMI/gRPC, and RESTCONF is valued.
- Programming expertise in Python, Java, or Golang.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies, Scrum or Kanban, backlog and workflow management, and SRE metrics such as MTTR, deployment frequency, and SLOs.
- CCNA or an equivalent certification is an added advantage.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, guide team members, advise stakeholders, and manage risks and controls.
