Responsibilities
- Contribute to scalable, fault-tolerant back-end systems and APIs serving millions of requests.
- Work with technologies such as Scala, C#, Kafka, and Spark.
- Consider the full product lifecycle from requirements and technology selection through coding, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Use CI/CD and testing techniques to support reliable, zero-downtime systems.
- Understand how different systems work together and how to scale back-end applications.
Requirements
- Currently studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with object-oriented and/or functional programming fundamentals.
- Familiarity with relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Good English communication skills and willingness to learn quickly.
- Preferred: practical knowledge of Scala, C#, or Java; experience building back-end applications and services; understanding of system scaling; familiarity with MS SQL, Cassandra, Hadoop, Git, TeamCity, or Puppet.
