Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for the design, development, integration, and deployment of modular embedded software systems.
  • Architect and implement real-time C/C++ software for embedded platforms, including concurrency and performance optimization.
  • Lead system integration, prototyping, deployment, and evaluation across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Mentor engineering teams and promote software development best practices.
  • Collaborate with program management, customers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and priorities.
  • Oversee hardware/software integration, debugging, and performance optimization.
  • Improve software development processes, tools, and methodologies.
  • Author and review technical documentation, design artifacts, and customer deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • At least 10 years of professional experience developing embedded software.
  • Expertise in C/C++ embedded development, concurrency, and performance optimization.
  • Extensive experience with Linux-based embedded systems and network communication.
  • Deep understanding of IP networking, protocol implementation, and debugging techniques.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration experience.
  • Experience with build management, dependency management, and cross-compilation.
  • Proficiency with Git source control and modern software engineering practices.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Preferred experience with radar, SIGINT, EW, autopilot, PNT/guidance, or unmanned systems.
  • Preferred expertise in microservice architectures, containerization, virtualization, RTOS, Linux kernel-space programming, device drivers, and custom BSPs.
  • Preferred experience with software safety processes and hazard analyses under MIL-STD-882E.
  • Preferred proficiency in Python and Bash for automation and data analysis.
  • Preferred experience leading automated build, test, artifact management, and deployment pipelines.
