Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust, large-scale single-tenant and multi-tenant Java identity management products
- Develop APIs, identity protocols, authentication systems, provisioning capabilities, and security vulnerability mitigations
- Analyze and elaborate requirements with product management and architects to improve the identity platform and develop PingIDM features
- Plan, estimate, and independently manage development tasks according to business plans
- Enable successful cloud deployments
- Collaborate with distributed team members in the Portland metro area, Canada, and Europe
- Work with customer-facing support teams to resolve customer issues
Requirements
- Wide experience designing and developing large-scale applications in Java
- Strong understanding of HTTP and RESTful web services
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and deployment strategies, including AWS, GCP, and Azure
- Experience using AI agents such as Claude Code to plan, validate, and implement functionality
- Experience with identity management technologies and protocols such as OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect is advantageous
- Understanding of enterprise-scale systems and security-related configurations is advantageous
- Experience building performant systems that deploy and execute at scale is advantageous
- Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, independent learning, and complex-environment analysis abilities
