Responsibilities
- Design and develop search and platform features for Microsoft 365 Copilot and Copilot Search.
- Build scalable, high-performance cloud services operating across thousands of servers.
- Operate and manage the live site for the Substrate Search cloud service.
- Collaborate with the team to build a scalable and high-performance search stack.
- Work with product managers and partners to understand user requirements and design rich search experiences.
- Develop prompt assistance and Microsoft Graph entity experiences involving files, emails, meetings, and first- and third-party connectors.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
- Coding experience in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
- Demonstrated problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Preferred: 7+ years of technical engineering experience.
- Preferred: performance engineering and optimization expertise.
- Preferred: solid C++, C#, or Java skills, including at least 3+ years of programming experience in one or more of these languages.
- Preferred: 2+ years of experience with distributed systems in an agile development environment.
- Preferred: strong communication and cross-group collaboration skills.
