Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and enhance features in the rules execution service that consumes document events and publishes routing outcomes.
- Implement rule types, specifications, and actions across the shared rules framework and Exchange extension libraries.
- Support EventBus-driven rules, MongoDB-backed rule definitions, event matching, and rule caching.
- Develop Intelligent Business Rules capabilities, including business-rule statistics and change-request persistence.
- Develop and maintain document-handling and integration rule actions, shipping changes behind feature flags.
- Write JUnit 5 and Mockito tests and contribute to monolith decoupling and Java version migrations.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, maintainable software and contribute to technical design, documentation, code quality, and issue resolution.
- Collaborate with team members and cross-functional partners while following established design, development, testing, IT control, and Agile practices.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of software development experience.
- BS in Computer Science or similar work experience.
- At least 2 years developing solutions with Java and J2EE technologies, including Spring and Maven.
- Working knowledge of cloud technologies; AWS experience with EC2, SNS, SQS, S3, or Lambda is preferred.
- Experience with databases; MongoDB, Elasticsearch, and MySQL are preferred.
- Exposure to rules engines or event-driven architecture, including event buses and publish/subscribe messaging.
- Understanding of design best practices, performance, scalability, and Agile/Scrum workflows.
- Experience delivering moderate-complexity features and working independently on defined tasks.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and willingness-to-learn skills.
- Exposure to Liquibase or other database migration tools and experience with feature flags or configuration services are preferred.
- Interest in healthcare, supply chain, or EDI/B2B document exchange is preferred.
