Responsibilities
- Drive architecture, API design, delivery, deployment, monitoring, and iteration for significant Vantage platform capabilities.
- Define and promote engineering standards for code quality, reliability, performance, security, and compliance.
- Influence cross-functional technical roadmaps and architectural decisions across teams and product boundaries.
- Lead platform health initiatives involving service decomposition, observability, CI/CD maturity, and developer productivity.
- Own high-severity incident response, post-mortems, and systemic reliability improvements for Vantage cloud services.
- Mentor Senior and Principal Engineers and promote technical rigor, shared ownership, and continuous learning.
- Evaluate and champion technologies including GenAI model integrations and cloud-native tooling.
Requirements
- 10–13 years of professional software engineering experience with deep C++ expertise.
- Experience with multiple programming languages and willingness to work with C# .NET and C++.
- Experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Pipelines.
- Strong experience with microservices architecture, distributed systems, and cloud-native patterns at enterprise scale.
- Ability to mentor Senior and Mid-level Engineers and partner with Engineering Managers on technical direction.
- Experience leading technical design reviews and influencing architecture across team and product boundaries.
- Preferred experience with Microsoft Azure, including AKS, Storage, Key Vaults, and Azure SQL or equivalent.
- Preferred experience delivering production-grade systems meeting enterprise compliance, security, and reliability standards.
- Preferred hands-on experience with workflow-driven systems involving orchestration, retries, timeouts, and state management.
- Preferred experience integrating Machine Learning, Neural Networks, or LLMs into enterprise applications and workflows.
- Comfort working in a globally distributed engineering organization.
