Base Salary
$207k - $300k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop frameworks and methodologies for evaluating AI system components and data.
- Analyze evaluation results to improve system performance and underlying value models.
- Define high-level technical strategy for the owned area.
- Design, build, and maintain specialized infrastructure on top of LLMs.
- Drive technical projects from ideation through production in an ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
- Build robust, scalable platforms supporting content acquisition and AI model training in a responsible and secure manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 8 years of software development experience, including 5 years testing and launching software products and 3 years in software design and architecture.
- At least 5 years of experience building ML systems and infrastructure for model training, evaluation, deployment, or serving.
- Experience integrating generative AI tools or LLM interfaces into workflows.
- Experience with data-processing software such as Hadoop, Spark, Beam, and Hive, as well as data-processing strategies or algorithms.
- Preferred: Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Preferred: 3 years in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- Preferred: 3 years working in a complex, matrixed organization across cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Preferred: full-stack development, back-end distributed infrastructure, and programming in Java, Python, or C++.
- Preferred: experience integrating generative AI tools and understanding AI architecture.
