Sr. Engineer II, DevOps, NG-SIEM (Hybrid)

Base Salary
$160k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain end-to-end monitoring and synthetic test suites across the NG-SIEM ingest, search, and workflow pipeline.
- Engineer coordinated scaling solutions across Kafka, ingest pipelines, and downstream services.
- Diagnose and resolve multi-component platform incidents, participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations, and coordinate critical incident response.
- Build capacity forecasting and cost-management models across platform and partner-team dependencies.
- Automate remediation workflows including pipeline-wide scaling, CID rebalancing, and infrastructure healing.
- Collaborate with engineering, data services, product, customer success, and external teams on SLO breaches and reliability improvements.
- Drive systemic improvements that increase NG-SIEM resilience, efficiency, and scalability.
Requirements
- U.S. citizenship or permanent residency and the ability to work solely from U.S. soil.
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, site reliability engineering, or platform engineering, including significant large-scale distributed-systems experience.
- Strong proficiency in at least one of Go, Java, Rust, or C++, and one of Python or Bash.
- Deep experience building observability pipelines, defining SLIs and SLOs, and creating actionable dashboards for multi-service architectures.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve complex incidents across distributed components operating continuously.
- Experience with capacity planning, coordinated scaling, streaming platforms, back pressure, partition management, and consumer group dynamics.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, cloud-native architectures, and serverless computing.
- Experience building automated remediation or self-healing infrastructure is preferred.
- Experience with cost modeling, large compute and storage footprints, high-volume data platforms, cybersecurity products, disaster recovery, or multi-region systems is preferred.
- Experience using AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, or business outcomes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and comfort working across time zones with globally distributed teams.
