Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and maintain iOS applications and SDKs using Swift, Xcode, and Apple platform frameworks.
- Shape mobile architecture using object-oriented design, design patterns, concurrency, threading, and lifecycle management.
- Create custom UI components and animations with UIKit and SwiftUI.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, and engineering teams from discovery through release.
- Use and critically validate AI-assisted development tools, generated code, and automated tests.
- Consider security, privacy, performance, reliability, and compatibility across supported iOS versions and devices.
- Share knowledge, provide constructive feedback, and raise the team's technical standards.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant military training.
- At least 7 years of application development experience, including substantial hands-on iOS development with Swift and Xcode.
- Strong experience with mobile system design, object-oriented design, design patterns, multithreading, and application architecture.
- Deep understanding of iOS frameworks, view and application lifecycles, object lifetimes, and concurrency.
- Strong UIKit and SwiftUI UI engineering skills, including custom components and animations.
- Experience integrating HTTP, JSON, and RESTful web services.
- Working knowledge of Objective-C and the ability to work with codebases that include it.
- Familiarity with differences across iOS versions and devices.
- Independent working style, clear communication, strong interpersonal skills, and a collaborative mindset.
- Curiosity about AI-assisted software development and commitment to validating code and tests.
- Experience with Git, collaborative code review, SDKs, reusable mobile components, Android, cross-platform mobile development, security-sensitive applications, identity, authentication, or AI-enabled engineering tools is preferred.
