Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of software-defined storage and managed cloud service features through the full software development lifecycle.
- Design, develop, verify, troubleshoot, document, and deploy systems or major subsystems in production.
- Write hands-on code, bug fixes, updates, specifications, automation, and customer root-cause analyses.
- Monitor and improve system health, availability, latency, performance, and reliability using native tooling.
- Participate in incident management processes to resolve production issues within agreed SLAs/SLOs.
- Mentor junior engineers, participate in interviews, and help build high-performance teams.
Requirements
- B.E./B.Tech or M.S. in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 12+ years of professional experience and 5+ years in technical leadership positions.
- Proficiency in C or C++, with Python experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
- Extensive hands-on experience designing and developing solutions involving block/file technologies.
- Required experience with system or kernel programming and with filesystems, networking, or file/cloud protocols.
- Experience with ONTAP or a similar storage operating system.
- Strong problem-solving, coding, design, oral communication, and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of hypervisors, cloud storage, databases, caching, object and block storage, scaling, monitoring, and load balancers is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Agile software development practices is expected.
