Base Salary
$228k - $253k/yr
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and deploy scalable machine-learning architectures, workflows, and standards integrated with product features.
- Collaborate with architecture and Machine Learning Platform teams to integrate ML services and pipelines into larger technology infrastructure.
- Lead the design, development, deployment, and monitoring of production-grade ML systems across the organization.
- Research, prototype, and evaluate emerging big-data and machine-learning technologies.
- Drive organization-wide ML strategy and establish technical standards and best practices.
- Communicate complex ML solutions and analytical results to business stakeholders and technology leaders.
- Mentor Machine Learning Engineers and Data Scientists and lead cross-functional initiatives.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional industry experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Software Engineer focused on deploying ML systems at scale.
- Advanced knowledge of multiple ML frameworks, such as Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, SageMaker, and Spark ML.
- Expertise with distributed big-data tools and event-based architectures, ideally Spark and Kafka.
- Deep hands-on experience prototyping, building, releasing, and monitoring mission-critical ML models in high-traffic applications.
- Extensive experience with cloud-based infrastructure, ideally AWS.
- Experience driving organization-wide ML strategy or setting technical standards across teams.
- A track record of mentoring senior engineers or leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Ability to operate with ambiguity and influence without direct authority.
