Responsibilities
- Own assigned testing initiatives across planning, execution, and reporting.
- Design, build, maintain, and optimize automated UI and API testing frameworks and suites.
- Analyze feature scope and acceptance criteria, validate failures, debug root causes, and analyze database changes.
- Execute and monitor Jenkins or equivalent CI pipelines and report failures.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts on requirements, test strategies, and expected outcomes.
- Challenge unclear or inconsistent requirements and contribute feedback on testing approaches and implementation decisions.
- Guide developers contributing to test automation through reviews and best practices.
- Drive QA process improvements to reduce regression time and increase system stability.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent proven professional experience.
- Advanced proficiency in Java UI test automation with Selenide or Selenium WebDriver and the Page Object Model.
- Demonstrated experience with REST API automation.
- Proficiency in SQL for data validation and test debugging and experience with TestRail or similar test management tools.
- Exposure to CI/CD environments, preferably Jenkins, including job execution and pipeline analysis.
- Proficiency with Git and Maven or Gradle.
- Understanding of automation design patterns and industry best practices.
- Strong ownership, accountability, problem-solving, initiative, and communication skills.
- Advanced written and spoken English proficiency.
- Preferred experience with Playwright, Cucumber, Gherkin, Kafka testing or simulation, TestNG, JUnit, JMeter, Gatling, logistics, supply chain, or Warehouse Management Systems.
