Responsibilities
- Design and build a unified global banking platform with high-availability APIs and regional implementations.
- Transform monolithic services into decoupled, scalable, region-agnostic banking services.
- Design, implement, maintain, and iteratively improve highly available backend services and reliable transfer systems.
- Operate and improve core services using AWS, Kubernetes, and microservices written in Go, Kotlin, Java, and Elixir.
- Drive end-to-end delivery, including testing, observability, monitoring, and improved test coverage.
- Contribute to engineering culture, technical direction, documentation, best practices, and tool selection.
Requirements
- Solid programming experience with Go and interest in Java, Kotlin, and Elixir.
- Advanced understanding of distributed and event-driven systems.
- Experience with event-streaming platforms and messaging brokers such as Kafka.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Comfort working with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with GitHub Actions or ArgoCD.
- Commitment to ownership and writing clear, maintainable, and testable code.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or Honeycomb is a plus.
- Fintech industry experience is a plus.
