Responsibilities
- Develop new functionality and support existing services primarily using Go.
- Build and maintain reliable distributed systems and backend services.
- Contribute to the merchant risk decision framework and fraud prevention, risk, and compliance use cases.
- Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, machine learning engineers, fraud strategy teams, and operational stakeholders.
- Help shape technical direction, service boundaries, and system design decisions.
- Contribute to Python projects, including AI-agent initiatives.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, monitoring, continuous improvement, and potentially an on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Professional software development experience with Go/Golang.
- Experience building and operating distributed systems and backend services.
- Strong system design skills and understanding of reliable, maintainable software architecture.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Kafka.
- Working knowledge of Python and interest in Python-based products or AI-agent development.
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools.
- Experience in agile, cross-functional teams and stakeholder collaboration beyond engineering.
- Pragmatic, outcome-focused approach with the ability to define MVPs and make sensible trade-offs.
- Collaborative mindset, constructive communication, and motivation to learn fintech, fraud prevention, risk, and compliance domains.
