Responsibilities
- Design, test, deploy, and maintain software solutions during the internship.
- Develop scripts to automate routine tasks.
- Analyze information and evaluate results to select effective solutions.
- Apply computer science coursework to real-world technical challenges.
- Collaborate with peers, managers, and teams while supporting team activities.
- For site reliability assignments, troubleshoot traffic anomalies, maintain services, build automation infrastructure, and support monitoring and alerts.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor’s degree, post-secondary education, or training experience focused on software development or another technical field.
- Experience coding in at least two general-purpose programming languages.
- Experience with data structures or algorithms gained through school, work, or other experience.
- Preferred: currently attending a degree program in Canada and available to work full time for 12 weeks outside university term time.
- Preferred: returning to a degree program after the internship.
- Preferred: programming experience in at least three listed languages or similar technologies.
- Preferred: experience with AI/ML, infrastructure, web application development, Unix/Linux, mobile development, distributed and parallel systems, machine learning, information retrieval, natural language processing, networking, large software systems, or security software development.
