Responsibilities
- Design highly reliable services capable of handling significant traffic fluctuations.
- Monitor backend performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimizations.
- Design and develop scalable backend systems, services, and APIs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve complex technical challenges.
- Deploy software in production environments and perform Linux-based performance tuning.
Requirements
- More than 5 years of software engineering experience with a strong foundation in backend systems.
- Proficiency in Rust, including ownership, lifetimes, and safety boundaries, or proficiency in C++ for robust and efficient code.
- Familiarity with Tokio or async-std and asynchronous, multithreaded concurrent programming.
- Experience with system-level performance optimization, including caching, memory pools, and object reuse.
- Familiarity with TCP, UDP Multicast, epoll, and io_uring.
- Familiarity with Linux performance tuning, including CPU Affinity, isolcpus, and IRQ Affinity.
- Proficiency with perf, FlameGraph, Cachegrind, and Criterion.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Preferred experience developing and optimizing high-performance systems with C++ or Rust, extending PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB, and building trading or financially and security-constrained systems.
