Responsibilities
- Define and drive the technical roadmap for regulatory reporting automation across licensed entities and jurisdictions.
- Lead architecture decisions across data pipelines, submission tooling, and AI-assisted compliance workflows.
- Own regulatory reporting milestones and ensure reports are accurate, timely, and auditable.
- Serve as the primary engineering contact for Compliance, Legal, and Finance stakeholders.
- Translate regulatory requirements into technical specifications and engineering designs.
- Drive adoption of AI/LLM tooling for review, gap analysis, and interpretation tasks.
- Define and uphold data quality, testing, and reconciliation standards across reporting models.
- Partner with Core Banking engineering on shared data platform capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend engineering foundation with Python, Kotlin, or Java and comfort with SQL at scale.
- Experience leading delivery of complex, multi-stakeholder technical programmes.
- Ability to translate ambiguous regulatory or compliance requirements into clear engineering designs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience in financial services, regulatory technology, or compliance automation is preferred.
- Production analytics engineering experience with dbt, Databricks, Spark, or BigQuery is preferred.
- Familiarity with LLM and agent frameworks, including RAG, tool use, and evaluation pipelines, is preferred.
- Experience operating in multi-jurisdiction, multi-entity environments is preferred.
- Experience building reconciliation and data quality frameworks for financial reporting is preferred.
