Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end evolution of the evaluation platform, including step-level evaluation, automated regression analysis, and production release quality gates.
- Build data governance and security capabilities including real-time PII and sensitive-data masking, schema synchronization, data ownership, versioned data dictionaries, auditing, and least-privilege access interfaces.
- Design and ship reusable SDKs, workflow definitions, dataset/model/metric management APIs, and observability instrumentation.
- Define and enforce SLAs, build alerting and incident-analysis tooling, and improve platform reliability and release decision quality.
- Apply machine-learning and LLM techniques to evaluation and governance problems where they outperform rule-based approaches.
- Use AI-assisted tools for coding, debugging, analysis, documentation, and incident investigation.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of backend or platform engineering experience, including at least 3 years designing and operating complex distributed systems in production.
- Strong proficiency in Go and/or Java.
- Experience building shared SDKs, reusable platform components, and production microservices operated at scale.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, HTTP/gRPC, retries, rate limiting, circuit breaking, authentication, and fault isolation.
- Strong knowledge of database design, high availability, transaction isolation, idempotency, eventual consistency, observability, alerting, and incident analysis.
- Hands-on experience with workflow orchestration such as Argo Workflows and automated evaluation or validation systems.
- Experience with secure production-data access, access control, auditing, data ownership, retention policies, least-privilege design, and PII or sensitive-data masking in regulated or compliance-conscious environments.
- Experience with modern data infrastructure and processing frameworks such as Spark/Flink, Snowflake, Databricks, and Athena, plus familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes, or data governance.
