Base Salary
$77k - $100k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze business, user, and system requirements and develop software testing solutions in an Agile environment.
- Create and maintain release test models, including test plans, test data, test scripts, estimates, schedules, and strategies.
- Define release test plans, user acceptance testing criteria, and production-readiness entry and exit criteria.
- Design, develop, execute, and debug test cases, test scripts, test plans, and quality strategy documentation.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, database, batch-job, data-validation, and release testing.
- Write and execute complex SQL queries to validate data accuracy, completeness, transformations, and reporting outcomes.
- Test healthcare technology involving EDI, HIPAA, PHI, CMS reports, federal reporting, T-MSIS reports, ELT, Informatica, and enterprise data warehouse environments.
- Use JIRA and Azure DevOps to manage test plans, test cases, results, and defects.
- Identify, document, triage, and manage software defects through closure.
- Help plan, maintain, and control test environments and release installation procedures.
- Coordinate testing-specific release activities and participate in walkthroughs, peer reviews, release-readiness meetings, and lessons-learned sessions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, product teams, vendors, and client-facing teams to resolve requirements and testing issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 8 years of experience as a QA Engineer, Software Test Engineer, Test Analyst, or in a related software testing role.
- At least 8 years of experience working across software development life cycle implementations.
- Experience creating test plans, estimates, schedules, strategies, cases, scripts, and test data.
- Strong experience writing complex SQL statements for data validation and backend testing.
- Hands-on experience with database testing, batch-job testing, data validation, and reporting validation.
- Experience with JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar test-management and defect-tracking tools.
- Strong hands-on experience with test automation concepts, frameworks, and execution.
- Experience testing healthcare systems involving EDI, HIPAA, PHI, CMS, federal reporting, or T-MSIS reporting.
- Experience with ELT, Informatica, enterprise data warehouses, Cognos, Tableau, or similar reporting and data platforms.
- Preferred experience testing Medicaid, Medicare, pharmacy, payer, provider, or government healthcare platforms.
- Preferred experience validating healthcare claims, encounters, eligibility, enrollment, provider, or reporting data.
- Working knowledge of Agile testing, release management, production readiness, and quality assurance governance.
- Experience with peer reviews, structured walkthroughs, release-readiness reviews, and lessons-learned sessions.
