Responsibilities
- Design, build, and evolve scalable, reliable services and components through system design, low-level design, API design, and data modeling.
- Write, review, and maintain well-tested code while advancing code quality, security, observability, and performance.
- Own complex features and services end to end from technical design through implementation, deployment, monitoring, and production improvement.
- Collaborate with product, design, and engineering teams to translate ambiguous business problems into reusable technical solutions.
- Safely integrate and operate AI/ML-enabled solutions that improve product outcomes.
- Participate in design reviews, shape technical direction, improve architecture and operational processes, and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent related professional experience.
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience owning services or components across the full software development lifecycle, including operational support.
- Proficiency in a modern programming language and associated frameworks, with strong system design, API design, and data modeling knowledge.
- Expert proficiency in Java, Kotlin, GraphQL, gRPC, and Spring Boot.
- Strong experience with distributed systems, RESTful APIs, and microservices.
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure code, and DevOps practices.
- Experience integrating systems with multiple services or domains while ensuring reliability, scalability, and observability.
- Preferred experience designing service or multi-service architectures at scale, leading technical design, improving engineering practices, using operational metrics and monitoring, and integrating AI/ML-enabled solutions.
