Base Salary
$80k - $105k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and ship production software across frontend and backend systems.
- Develop scalable solutions involving data pipelines, distributed systems, machine learning systems, and robust infrastructure.
- Work with modern frontend frameworks and cloud-based asynchronous workflows.
- Collaborate with full-stack, data, ML, and DevOps engineers to deliver reliable backend solutions.
- Own projects from development through completion with limited oversight.
- Debug systems, improve quality, and contribute to scalable and reliable production infrastructure.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of software engineering experience building and shipping production systems.
- Experience with a modern frontend framework, preferably React.
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript and comfort with Python; strong candidates from other object-oriented backgrounds may also be considered.
- Strong fundamentals in system design, debugging, and problem solving.
- Experience with relational databases, ideally PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud environments, serverless technologies, and asynchronous workflows, including Lambda and EC2.
- Ability to take ownership, communicate proactively, work independently, and drive projects to completion.
- Curiosity about AI, data, and real-world machine learning applications.
- Ability to work quickly, learn rapidly, and maintain high standards.
