Responsibilities

  • Learn the Global Market Content business and technical domain and implement high-quality solutions.
  • Deliver sprint-level user stories independently from design through implementation, testing, and deployment.
  • Write maintainable Java code and implement unit, integration, and functional automated tests.
  • Improve automation and contribute to CI/CD and release workflows.
  • Participate in technical design discussions and own simpler design elements such as API endpoints, service changes, and content configuration.
  • Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and architects in planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and other team activities.
  • Provide and incorporate code review feedback and contribute to feature design.
  • Participate in interrupt-support and on-call rotations, resolving simple production issues using runbooks.
  • Use logging, monitoring, dashboards, and operational metrics to improve reliability and complete postmortem actions.
  • Share knowledge and help onboard and mentor junior engineers and interns.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in enterprise software systems development.
  • Proven experience with core Java and Java-based technologies such as Spring or Spring Boot for N-tier or service-based applications.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Mockito.
  • Experience delivering software features through design, implementation, testing, and release as part of an agile team.
  • Experience with relational databases, JDBC, ORM, data modeling and design, software architecture, system integration, messaging, web services, or service-layer development.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, TeamCity, or GitHub Actions.
  • Exposure to AWS, GCP, or Azure and distributed-systems concepts is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving, written, and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to apply AI and data-driven insights to improve productivity and innovation.
