Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of responsive, high-performance interfaces using Node.js, React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
- Architect modular, maintainable, and scalable UI component libraries and frontend systems.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through technical guidance, coaching, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
- Integrate frontend applications with .NET backend services using REST APIs, JSON, and XML.
- Drive client-side state management, rendering optimization, application profiling, and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, product owners, and mission stakeholders on end-to-end functionality.
- Establish and enforce coding standards, accessibility guidelines, security practices, and frontend quality controls.
- Use Git and GitLab for version control, branching, collaboration, and merge-request workflows.
- Troubleshoot complex UI issues across environments, platforms, and browsers and provide root-cause remediation.
- Operate in AWS cloud-hosted environments and support integrations, deployments, and environment troubleshooting.
- Support planning, estimation, architecture discussions, and modernization initiatives.
- Review code and container scans and remediate code, package, and vulnerability findings.
- Support requirements gathering, client issue resolution, and vendor presentations or proposal activities.
Requirements
- Active Top-Secret clearance and eligibility for SCI are required.
- At least 8 years of experience developing modern frontend applications with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Advanced experience with HTML, CSS, Sass, responsive design frameworks, and scalable frontend architectures.
- Strong experience integrating REST APIs and working with JSON and XML data formats.
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab source control, collaboration, and code-review workflows.
- Experience building cloud-native solutions in AWS and working in cloud environments.
- Deep understanding of frontend performance optimization, browser behavior, debugging, and application profiling.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor developers and lead engineering best-practice discussions.
- Experience with YAML and CI/CD pipeline development, preferably GitLab CI.
- Experience remediating package-scan vulnerabilities and integrating with .NET APIs or full-stack environments.
- Preferred experience with Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Section 508, WCAG, JFrog Artifactory, and Jira for DevOps.
