Responsibilities
- Design and operate secure, scalable, and highly available Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
- Build and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform or Bicep.
- Deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes/AKS environments, including scaling, networking, upgrades, security hardening, and production troubleshooting.
- Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
- Establish cloud security, observability, reliability, monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
- Partner with engineering and ML teams on AI/ML workloads and optimize cloud performance and cost.
- Own infrastructure initiatives end to end, contribute to architecture decisions, and participate in incident response.
Requirements
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
- Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure across architecture, deployment, networking, identity, and security.
- Production Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform or Bicep.
- Production experience deploying and operating Docker and Kubernetes/AKS clusters.
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure and architecture decisions.
- Experience in a large-scale technology or enterprise organization and ability to work in a fast-paced early-stage environment.
- Knowledge of cloud security, IAM, secrets management, observability, reliability, and automation.
- Solid Linux administration and scripting skills with Bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Experience with GitOps, Helm, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/ML or GPU-based workloads and multi-cloud environments such as AWS or GCP is a bonus.
Benefits
- Base salary of €75,000–€95,000 annually.
- Hybrid role based primarily in Berlin, Germany, with remote work supported within Germany.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
