Responsibilities
- Drive functional and regression automation testing projects independently.
- Design and execute manual test cases for functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, usability, accessibility, UI/UX, localization, and AI application testing.
- Develop and maintain Playwright automation frameworks using C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Automate testing for web and API layers and integrate automated tests into Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Perform REST and SOAP API testing, database testing, SQL query writing, and data retrieval during automation integration.
- Document test results, defects, reproduction steps, test strategies, and quality metrics.
- Collaborate with developers and product teams to clarify requirements and improve test coverage.
- Optimize automation scripts for scalability and maintainability.
- Use generative AI and GitHub Copilot to create test cases, test scripts, test data, validation reports, and faster script delivery.
- Validate AI models, agents, and chatbots for performance, accuracy, and output quality.
- Mentor junior QA engineers and promote testing best practices.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in QA with strong manual and automation testing experience.
- Proficiency in Playwright automation using C#, Python, or TypeScript.
- Experience with REST and SOAP API testing using tools such as Postman and with automating API tests.
- Hands-on SQL experience, including joins, views, query writing, and data retrieval through connection strings.
- Experience testing mobile and web applications.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD and test management.
- Experience with pytest, NUnit, MSTest, Playwright Test, or other testing frameworks.
- Strong Git experience, including branching, check-ins, conflict resolution, and merging.
- Experience with test strategy, planning, execution, quality assurance, and issue or defect tracking.
- Understanding of security testing principles and tools.
- Experience with JSON, jQuery, XML, npm, Cucumber, JavaScript, and Gherkin is preferred.
- Experience with cloud services, Power Apps, and Power Automate is preferred.
- Experience with JMeter, Azure Load Test, or Artillery is preferred.
- Experience with accessibility, UI/UX, and localization testing is preferred.
- Proficiency with generative AI for test scenario creation, test data synthesis, data validation, and UI comparison is preferred.
- Experience validating AI model performance and accuracy and testing AI applications, agents, and chatbots is preferred.
- Knowledge of DeepEval, RAGAS, PromptFoo, prompting, and AI-based predictive defect analysis tools is preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication, collaboration, analytical reasoning, independence, and continuous-learning skills.
