Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and continuously improve systems for data ingestion, processing, storage, and sharing.
- Build and optimize scalable, performant, and reliable data architectures.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using modern tools and frameworks.
- Integrate systems and synchronize data across domains.
- Maintain high standards of data quality, security, availability, and performance.
- Collaborate with analysts, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot software, and fix defects.
- Implement monitoring and alerting for data workflows.
- Work within a cross-functional Agile development team serving the Pan-Baltic region.
- Develop expertise in banking processes and products and drive technical improvements independently.
Requirements
- Proven experience with SQL and Python.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong understanding of streaming data pipelines and platforms such as Kafka, Spark, and Flink.
- Familiarity with Airflow or dbt.
- Experience with data warehousing solutions including Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
- Knowledge of real-time, message-based, and event-driven integrations.
- Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Exposure to test automation, DevOps practices, infrastructure as code, and security best practices.
- Experience in the customer business domain is an advantage.
- Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives independently.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required.
- Candidates are primarily expected to be located within the Baltics.
