Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, monitor, and improve automated software build and release processes.
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines for build, testing, packaging, deployment, and release activities.
- Automate deployment of internally developed and third-party software across multiple environments.
- Build, manage, troubleshoot, and integrate Docker images and containers into CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain automation scripts for builds, deployments, environment configuration, and operational tasks.
- Troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, environment problems, and pipeline failures.
- Manage and support servers, operating systems, networks, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Support application deployments and troubleshooting across Linux and Windows environments.
- Define and improve development, testing, release, deployment, update, and operational support processes.
- Collaborate with developers, QA, operations, and other teams to support high-quality and timely software delivery.
- Perform technical reviews and ensure adherence to software development, coding, testing, build, and release standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in Build Engineering, DevOps, Release Engineering, Software Engineering, or CI/CD automation.
- Strong hands-on experience with GitLab and Maven.
- Strong experience with Git and source-control practices including branching, merging, and tagging.
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and environments.
- Proficiency in at least one of Python, PowerShell, Bash/Shell, or Groovy.
- Experience developing and maintaining automation scripts for builds, deployments, environment configuration, and operational tasks.
- Experience with relational databases, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience supporting infrastructure assets including networks, servers, operating systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of CI/CD, DevOps principles, SDLC practices, release management, and deployment automation.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across build, deployment, application, and infrastructure layers.
- Preferred qualifications include AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional or another relevant AWS certification, Grafana, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, AWS ECS/EKS, artifact repositories, and Kiro or other AI-assisted software development platforms.
