Responsibilities
- Own the Android IoT application end to end, including architecture, implementation, feature delivery, code quality, maintainability, and device- and OS-level behavior.
- Develop and maintain mobile functionality using Kotlin, Firebase, and Flutter.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve defects, crashes, incidents, and production issues.
- Support release preparation, deployment, rollout, and post-release validation.
- Improve code quality, maintainability, test coverage, and technical debt while participating in code reviews and architecture discussions.
- Contribute to uptime, quality, stability, processing latency, release stability, security, and incident response objectives across platforms.
- Maintain technical documentation, decision records, runbooks, onboarding materials, engineering practices, and secure SDLC practices.
- Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, support, and client stakeholders, including driving discovery sessions.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of Android application development experience.
- Professional experience with Kotlin and Firebase.
- Experience with Android IoT fleet management, including monitoring, OS firmware validation, and APK rollouts.
- Knowledge of incident and problem management, including service restoration, root cause analysis, debugging, and diagnosis.
- Experience with source code and version control tools such as Git or GitLab.
- Experience with Flutter mobile development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across functional and technical roles and communicate strongly in English.
- Ability to use AI tools responsibly for productivity, automation, decision support, and quality improvement.
- Preferred experience with native Flutter, Swift, or C++ development.
- Preferred experience with IoT device pairing, diagnostics, connectivity, Android firmware and app rollout strategies, canary releases, rollback strategies, and device fleet operations.
- Familiarity with AWS-backed systems or serverless architectures and AI-augmented development practices is beneficial.
- Experience with manufacturing or agricultural-sector solutions is beneficial.
