Responsibilities
- Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and maintains secure, scalable, high-quality production software.
- Creates architecture and design artifacts and ensures software implementation meets design constraints.
- Develops and maintains Java applications using Spring, Kafka/Streams, Kubernetes, and Oracle DB.
- Analyzes large and diverse data sets to identify patterns and improve coding hygiene, application quality, and system architecture.
- Uses enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation while validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Applies software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities and contributes reusable engineering practices to the team.
- Supports application testing, operational stability, resiliency, and secure software development.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and at least 3 years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring, Kafka/Streams, Kubernetes, Oracle DB, and microservices architecture.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database-query languages.
- Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and critically evaluating, validating, and refining generated outputs.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input/output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
- Overall knowledge of the software development lifecycle and agile practices, including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
- Preferred: familiarity with modern frontend technologies and exposure to cloud technologies.
- Preferred: experience with Cassandra or other NoSQL databases and agentic AI flows.
