Base Salary
$85k - $193k/yr
Responsibilities
- Create and implement in-vehicle communication systems spanning network architecture, topology, and communication protocols across all OSI layers.
- Deliver foundational network libraries, core interfaces, packing structures, and functional topology elements for future vehicle platforms.
- Design, develop, and maintain automated pipelines for creating, testing, and releasing network communication artifacts in industry-standard formats.
- Establish and conduct validation procedures for network architecture deliverables.
- Analyze and optimize data packing and communication protocols to improve bus performance and efficiency.
- Architect and implement network-specific cybersecurity and functional safety goals.
- Collaborate with hardware and software architects, feature owners, and platform experts to standardize Ethernet, CAN, and LIN communication attributes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience focused on embedded systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with Ethernet distributed systems.
- At least 2 years of experience with network architecture, protocols, and communication standards.
- At least 2 years of experience using network analysis and simulation tools.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree, automotive Service-Oriented Architecture knowledge, TDD with Gherkin, 3+ years with AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive, 1+ year with Ethernet Time-Sensitive Networks and IEEE 802.1AE/MACsec, and 1+ year developing tools or scripts for AUTOSAR Classic, AUTOSAR Adaptive, DBC, or ARXML formats.
