Responsibilities
- Design automation frameworks and validate open-source component integrations for the Open Data Platform.
- Define project- and feature-level system-test strategies, test plans, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
- Develop and maintain Java-based test automation frameworks, automated test suites, regression pipelines, and test coverage.
- Collaborate with engineers throughout the development and testing lifecycle on feature test strategies and plans.
- Test distributed services, API integrations, component interoperability, performance, scalability, and overall product quality.
- Monitor and analyze test results and provide actionable feedback to improve testing efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage QA environments and support smooth build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of experience as a Senior SDET or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem, distributed data platforms, API automation, and distributed-system integration testing.
- Strong Java programming and coding skills with an emphasis on performance and scalability.
- Hands-on experience testing distributed services, managing QA environments, and working with CI/CD processes.
- Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other CI/CD tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with open-source projects, component interoperability, and system testing.
