Responsibilities
- Interface with technical personnel and stakeholders to finalize requirements.
- Design, specify, develop, and maintain complex software components across multiple systems.
- Complete complex bug fixes and resolve technical issues.
- Translate complex product requirements into software designs.
- Implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.
- Design and work with complex data models and data storage subsystems.
- Collaborate across development environments and with internal and external technology resources.
- Train and mentor entry-level and less-senior software engineers.
- Contribute to quality engineering strategy, testing design, and process improvements.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced knowledge of software development methodologies.
- Strong proficiency with data manipulation and optimization techniques.
- Strong understanding of normalized and dimensional data modeling principles.
- Strong knowledge of multiple data storage subsystems.
- Strong experience with Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, AWS cloud technologies, microservices, and RDBMS systems.
- Experience with Redis or Valkey caching is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development best practices, applicable toolsets, and test-driven development.
- Ability to write and review detailed specifications and collaborate effectively with technical personnel and stakeholders.
