Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and automate large-scale distributed systems.
- Build tools and automation to improve availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver high-quality software.
- Monitor production and development environments and build preventive measures.
- Work with delivery teams on software improvements that increase availability and reduce MTTD.
- Participate in an eight-hour on-call rotation every three to four weeks, covering seven days per week.
Requirements
- At least five years of public cloud experience with GCP or AWS.
- At least five years of private cloud experience with OpenStack or VMware ESXi.
- At least five years of Linux experience with CentOS or Ubuntu.
- At least five years of networking experience.
- Experience managing containers with Kubernetes, Helm, GKE, and Docker.
- Experience with GitLab, Argo CD, and CI/CD tools.
- Experience with Terraform and Python or other scripting languages.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible and Puppet.
- Experience with monitoring systems such as Prometheus or LogicMonitor.
- Experience with incident management processes, SRE best practices, and continuous improvement.
- Experience designing large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
