Base Salary
$210k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and scale data infrastructure and core engineering platforms.
- Own complex technical challenges from whiteboard design through production deployment.
- Write resilient backend code and establish architectural standards and best practices for backend services and APIs.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business strategy into technical roadmaps.
- Mentor other engineers and communicate technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.
- Operate production workloads with monitoring, alerting, logging, metrics, tracing, and on-call responsibilities.
Requirements
- 5–8+ years of experience with ownership of critical components or services.
- Expert-level proficiency in TypeScript with Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience designing, consuming, or implementing REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience building and productionizing web services, data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and orchestration frameworks.
- Strong SQL and NoSQL database fundamentals.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and tools such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
- Production experience with monitoring, alerting, logging, metrics, traces, and on-call operations.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent real-world experience.
- English proficiency at C1 level and ability to work with distributed international teams.
- Preferred experience with SaaS platforms, engineering analytics, developer-productivity tooling, infrastructure as code, containers, serverless systems, queues, event-driven architectures, security practices, engineering metrics, and coding agents.
