Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable payment services across core transaction flows.
- Translate cards and payments business requirements into technical solutions and integration designs.
- Provide technical guidance, mentoring, code-structuring guidance, and reusable component development for the engineering team.
- Drive performance optimization, defect triage, root cause analysis, and corrective actions for payment services.
- Coordinate with product owners, business analysts, quality assurance, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Ensure secure coding, data protection, regulatory compliance, and industry-standard practices for cardholder information.
- Support deployments, performance tuning, environment readiness, and day-to-day payment operations.
- Guide integrations with external networks, issuers, acquirers, and internal banking systems.
- Review solution designs, interface contracts, deployment procedures, and other technical documentation.
- Promote unit, integration, and regression testing to improve payment reliability.
Requirements
- Six to ten years of experience in Java, Sprint Boot, and Net Java development.
- Hands-on experience building enterprise-grade payment services and deep knowledge of the cards and payments domain.
- Knowledge of authorization, clearing, settlement, dispute handling, fraud checks, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful services, message-based integrations, and middleware solutions.
- Knowledge of relational databases, caching mechanisms, and transaction management for high-volume payment processing.
- Experience with version control, continuous integration, and automated build tools.
- Exposure to performance monitoring, logging frameworks, and alerting practices.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid work environment and during day shifts.
