Base Salary

$111k - $147k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Siemens NX Open API customizations using C/C++, Python, or .NET to automate design tasks and enforce engineering standards.
  • Build and manage NX CAD administrative tools, including templates, part families, reuse libraries, and Check-Mate rules.
  • Create custom NX dialogs, menus, and toolbars for mechanical and electrical design workflows.
  • Develop journal-based automation scripts and NX Open applications for modeling, drafting, and BOM generation.
  • Collaborate with PLM engineers on NX–Teamcenter integration in managed mode, including classification, naming rules, and revision workflows.
  • Own internal developer tools through their lifecycle and troubleshoot NX deployment, site configuration, toolkit distribution, and end-user issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a CAD development role, ideally in an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in NX Open API development using one or more of C/C++, Python, Java, or .NET, including C# or VB.NET.
  • Hands-on NX CAD administration experience with templates, drafting standards, part families, reuse libraries, and role-based configurations.
  • Experience creating and maintaining NX journaling scripts and custom automation toolkits.
  • Strong understanding of CAD data management, including naming conventions, revision control, and BOM structures.
  • Preferred experience includes Siemens Teamcenter integration, NX Check-Mate, NX deployment and site configuration, GRIP or Knowledge Fusion, and integrations with PLM, ERP, or MES systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, user-empathy, autonomy, and ambiguity-navigation skills.
