Responsibilities
- Set the technical vision and modernization strategy for Growth Engineering across five pods.
- Translate growth goals and AI and data opportunities into scalable architecture, roadmap priorities, and faster experimentation.
- Learn and improve the Growth stack from data ingestion and activation through measurement and conversion surfaces.
- Author and drive high-impact RFCs, including potential experimentation convergence, BFF strategy, and event taxonomy initiatives.
- Publish the architectural vision for Growth’s data and activation stack, including API boundaries, event pipelines, and third-party integrations.
- Lead the MWeb Next.js migration strategy and Split.io-to-Statsig convergence plan.
- Improve trust in Growth data through observability standards, SLOs, data contracts, and downstream data quality.
- Standardize platform patterns including BFFs, Temporal adoption, CI and testing templates, and deployment practices.
- Lead at least two major cross-pod initiatives from concept through production.
- Develop Staff engineers into strong pod-level technical leaders.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a senior individual contributor owning architecture and technical strategy across multiple teams or pods in growth, marketing, or consumer product environments.
- Deep experience with modern web stacks such as React and Next.js, experimentation platforms such as Split.io, Statsig, or Optimizely, and event-driven data systems.
- Strong track record building reliable data and activation platforms with event taxonomies, data contracts, observability, and downstream data quality.
- Proven ability to lead cross-team technical initiatives, resolve architectural disagreements, and drive adoption of shared patterns.
- Strong product partnership skills involving growth bets, experimentation strategies, and success metrics.
- Experience leading framework migrations, experimentation-platform consolidation, or large-scale data migrations is preferred.
- Experience with backend-for-frontend patterns and workflow orchestration tools such as Temporal is preferred.
- Experience standardizing AI-augmented engineering workflows at team or organizational scale is preferred.
- Prior Senior Staff or Principal scope experience in a high-growth environment is preferred.
- Familiarity with healthcare, B2B2C, or other regulated environments is preferred.
