Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain traffic management and routing services and tools using Java, C++, or Go.
  • Implement secure service communication, routing controls, hardening, and policy enforcement.
  • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot services running on Kubernetes across distributed environments.
  • Improve system latency and throughput through architecture, profiling, benchmarking, and performance tuning.
  • Use logs, metrics, and traces for production diagnosis, root-cause analysis, and reliability improvements.
  • Collaborate with SRE, platform, and application teams to integrate traffic and networking solutions safely.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience plus 2+ years of relevant networking, traffic engineering, platform, infrastructure, or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Java, C++, or Go, including data structures, concurrency fundamentals, and debugging.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, load balancing, and TLS.
  • Understanding of Linux and distributed systems fundamentals.
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker or other containers, and service-to-service networking.
  • Familiarity with Envoy, NGINX, HAProxy, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Experience with performance profiling, benchmarking, or latency reduction; exposure to PoP, edge, or global traffic-steering concepts is beneficial.
