Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize CPU software for high performance, low power, energy efficiency, and scalability.
- Run application benchmarks and conduct pre- and post-silicon verification against performance and power goals.
- Develop benchmarks for emerging workloads and areas across product segments.
- Analyze software workloads across libraries, compilers, assembly, runtimes, and algorithms to identify optimization opportunities.
- Collaborate with CPU, compiler, kernel, benchmark-vendor, and open-source teams to implement solutions meeting CPU performance requirements.
Requirements
- Require 2–10 years of software engineering or related experience.
- Require excellent programming skills in C, C++, Assembly, Python, and JavaScript.
- Require in-depth understanding of Linux internals and device drivers.
- Require strong understanding of computer architecture and operating system concepts.
- Require strong problem-solving skills for challenging performance problems.
- Require a bachelor's degree in engineering, information systems, computer science, or a related field.
