Senior Software Engineer | Remote | AI SaaS Software Role
Process StreetResponsibilities
- Architect and evolve backend systems with Scala, Play, Postgres, Redis, and AWS.
- Design and deploy scalable APIs and AI-assisted services.
- Own feature development from ideation through production.
- Build frontend features using React, Chakra, Storybook, and modern state-management tools.
- Develop agent-driven development workflows and internal tooling, prompts, and engineering systems.
- Use Claude Code and Codex to accelerate implementation, debugging, and refactoring across parallel sessions.
- Optimize frontend, backend, and AI-assisted pipeline performance.
- Define best practices for AI-native software development.
- Eventually lead a small team of two to three engineers.
- Work autonomously in an asynchronous, remote-first environment across six-week cycles and two-week cooldowns.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong backend experience with Scala or Java, Ruby, or C#.
- Strong experience with JavaScript and React.
- Experience building and scaling SaaS products.
- Deep familiarity with AI coding tools including Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor.
- Experience with multi-session, agent-driven workflows and AI-assisted development.
- Experience designing systems rather than only implementing features.
- Experience building internal developer tools, platforms, prompt systems, or reusable AI workflows is preferred.
- Excellent written communication and comfort with ambiguity, autonomy, and asynchronous collaboration.
- Availability in a timezone between UTC -6 and UTC +2.
