Base Salary
$200k - $500k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own the reliability and quality bar for an AI copilot embedded in a trading platform.
- Design evaluation systems for correctness, safety, latency, and regression risk across market analysis, portfolio and risk reasoning, and trading workflows.
- Develop and maintain golden sets, scenario suites, stress and adversarial cases, and market-regime test corpora.
- Build automated quality gates and regression workflows that block releases when key metrics degrade.
- Define safe tool and action contracts with deterministic previews, confirmations, auditability, and predictable assistant behavior.
- Own model-improvement loops involving data collection, labeling, error taxonomies, prompt and tooling changes, and appropriate fine-tuning or preference optimization.
- Design and operate AI monitoring and incident response, including telemetry, alerting, root-cause analysis, and fix-forward processes.
- Develop deep trading-domain knowledge and express concepts such as margin, shorting, portfolio margin, risk, and execution accurately to users.
Requirements
- At least eight years of experience shipping production software and strong proficiency with a programming language.
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals, testing methodology, and systems design.
- Experience building evaluation frameworks, test harnesses, and benchmark suites for complex systems such as LLMs, agents, search, retrieval, ranking, or recommenders.
- Experience running model-improvement cycles involving dataset curation, labeling and quality assurance, offline experimentation, and deploying measurable benchmark improvements.
- Ability to define metrics, build measurement pipelines, and use data to drive engineering and product decisions.
- Comfort working across the stack, debugging model and tooling failures, instrumenting services, and partnering on frontend and product user-experience patterns.
- Bonus experience with fine-tuning, preference optimization, distillation, prompt or compiler-style techniques, domain-specific benchmarks, adversarial suites, trading, Rust, performance-sensitive services, incident response, or SLOs for AI systems.
